We are called to love our neighbors as ourselves. This begins with a movement into action. Our actions are based on Matthew 25: 35 & 36 “For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you gave me clothing, I was sick and you took care of me, I was in prison and you visited me.” Using Christ’s words as our directive, we work to care for others.
We focus on connecting All Saints’ to the world by focusing on the hungry, the stranger, the sick, and the prisoner. Below is a list of service activities in which we are currently involved. You are welcome to be a part of the work we are doing.
Durham Urban Ministries: Help serve the local community by providing a hot meal for over 200 people in need (quarterly), participating in clothing drives, and building relationships.
StandUp For Kids: Gather and assemble care packages for street-dependent youth in Raleigh.
Stop Hunger Now: An international hunger relief organization that coordinates the distribution of food and other life-saving aid around the world.
International Missions: Chart the path for All Saints’ in global ministry. Foster the partnership with our sister church in Costa Rica.
As we continue to grow as a congregation that seeks more and more opportunities to put our passions to work in the communities surrounding us, we will continue to look for opportunities to serve others in the areas of hunger, estrangement, sickness and imprisonment.
